Wesley Mission Opportunities

Upcoming Mission Events:

Wesley would like to invite you to participate in a couple of mission opportunities that have been planned for this semester:

Ronald McDonald House-
September 9th (Sunday)
10am-2pm

(At the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) on the UM Medical Campus)

We will be preparing and serving a meal to the residents at the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is a place where the parents of children in the hospital can stay. Many times children must receive treatments that last for months or even years at hospitals far from home. The cost of being away from home for so long is quite a burden on many of these families. The Ronald McDonald House offers inexpensive housing and food for these families.
We will be meeting at Wesley at 10 and taking the metro rail to the RMH. We will then prepare a lunch and serve it to the residents.

Spring 2008 Mission Trip-
March 8 - 16

What: Mission trip to the Bahamas planned by Global Outreach (wegoglobal.com). We have the opportunity to do a variety of mission activities, including VBS, sports camps, repair work, and school programs.
When: Leave Sunday, March 8 and return Friday, March 16 (during this year's Spring Break)
Where: We will be staying in a hotel near Freeport in the Bahamas and working just outside Freeport
Cost: Through personal fundraisers, we would hope to raise enough so that each participant has to pay nothing or close to nothing
